Tuning Into Youth, Adulthood, and Elder Life

with

Dr. Anne Dosher - Pam Sharkey - Maggie Raife

Hear a fascinating exploration into the opportunities and challenges that greet us at the five stages of our lives. It's a lively conversation with three generations of fabulous women who offer experience, wisdom, and their point of view. Our guests have dedicated their lives to community involvement, personal growth, and living purposely. Their co-generational conversations will inspire and motivate listeners of all ages - with ideas that touch will touch your mind, body, heart, and soul.

You'll hear how:

* "Being" and "Doing" shapes each part of our lives
* Anne tells us about "Ancestors in Making", Elders, and "ensouling" the earth
* Pam shares her passion and expertise about care-giving and advocacy
* Maggie affirms her commitment to choice for all women's health issues
* The role of technology affects various generations
* Some wise people have "lessons-learned" to pass on

Dr. Anne Dosher (83) is a community psychologist, one of the architects of the National Network for Youth, and Elder of the Ashland Institute. She believes that societal change begins with conversation - with other people, with nature, and with all of life. Anne serves as Elder of the International Women's Dialogue, and is actively involved in the Circle of Seven, as well as the Chakra and Swan Circles. She's also guide, mentor, and inspiration to many. www.ashlandinstitute.org

Pam Sharkey (57) is the Director of Nurses at San Francisco Towers Life Care Community. Her life work has focused on improving community health systems, long-term care facilities and senior care facilities. Pam serves as a legal advisor and expert witness in Northern California - specializing in assisting attorneys' medical and nursing malpractice cases. She thrives on the knowledge of our older population, saying that "they are amazing." www.pamsharkey.com; www.ehf.org/sft

Maggie Raife (24) works as the Finance and Development Associate at Medical Students for Choice (and she's a young activist for women's health) - an organization that ensures that medical students are trained to provide the full range of reproductive healthcare to their future patients. Maggie has lived in the Bay Area for two years after growing up in the Midwest. She's a young activist on issues of women's health and reproductive rights. www.ms4c.org
